Harvest Festival

World Mental Health Day 2019

New Playground Markings
A HUGE thank you, yet again, to our PTA who have funded our new playground markings. They have been chosen by our School Council. The children are so excited and can't wait to use them.

Royal Wedding visit from BBC Radio Derby
On Friday the 18th of May we held our 'Royal Wedding' at school.
Visit from Olympian Kristian Thomas
Kristian Thomas came into school this morning. He inspired us all, telling us about his journey to being an Olympian. He showed us his favourite medal, and performed some amazing gymnastic stunts!
School Closed Friday 2nd March
Due to the adverse weather conditions school will be closed on Friday 2nd March to ensure the safety of all children, parents and staff. Thank you for your support.
Astronaut Aaron arrives at MIS!
We had a surprise visitor this morning! Astronaut Aaron came with a special case containing our very own Astronaut Training Booklets. He has challenged the children to take part in different activities that would help them to become astronauts. Please look out for a letter explaining all the details which will be sent home in school bags tonight.

Grand opening of the library!
Our library was reopened today by author Danny Thompson. The Year 2 children were lucky enough to have a story reading session by Danny himself! The children will be bringing in their teddies over the next couple of weeks for teddy sleepovers!
